THE SHOW MUST GO ON!

Amanda Ralls

When hosting any type of event, it is now a legal requirement to follow the UK governments secure event guidelines. There are restrictions on the guest/delegate numbers, but scope has been given for event organisers to execute live mid-sized events as long as the social distancing rule of 6 can be applied.

When it comes to staging events, creativity has no limit even in our ever-changing world. Last week we saw a drive-in wedding for 250 where the guests watched a couple tie-the-knot in an outdoor cinema style event, food was delivered on segway’s and everyone remained safe and socially distanced.

This month we are thrilled to showcase some very special #safevenues which are ideal for hosting small dinners, meetings and outdoor styled events.

Iconic Luxury Hotel collection is renowned for the finest and luxurious hotels in the world and the UK is blessed to have several of their most unique and exceptional; Cliveden House & Spa situated in the heart of the stunning Berkshire countryside, Chewton Glen an English estate on the South Coast plus a new addition to the London Mayfair scene.

BEAUTIFUL BERKSHIRE

Just 40 minutes from London, the 5-star lavish Cliveden House creates a magnificent backdrop with its sweeping drive, expansive formal gardens & grounds. Their exquisite event spaces are a must see, including “The French Dining Room” - a Rococo masterpiece.

Take your event outdoors, let your guests enjoy a red-carpet arrival and kick off with cocktails in the spectacular Walled Gardens overlooking the Spa and Grade I listed pool.

All being set against a backdrop of tumbling scented roses, lavender and Cliveden’s famous clock tower. And if the weather doesn’t co-operate, tents can be installed to provide a unique haven.

For a smaller event, the hotel is perfect, with physical distancing and extra space in mind you could consider private use of a wing in the house where you’ll be allocated the right number of bedrooms and private meeting space.

ESCAPE TO THE NEW FOREST

Chewton Glen is lucky enough to be just a short walk from the Jurassic coast and two hours from London, making it a wonderful setting for incentive travel as well as traditional meetings and events.

Delegates can enjoy a whole host of facilities including 9-hole, par-3 golf course, indoor and outdoor tennis courts, 70 working beehives, James Martin Cookery School and coastal walks as well as the spa, gym and large outdoor pool. For those who prefer to stay within the hotel grounds there is a wide range of masterclasses including gourmet cookery, watercolour painting, sketching, wine tasting, health & fitness awareness, football clinics and kite flying. With the expansive grounds, there is ample opportunity for all types of team building activities.

The six event spaces are typically luxurious and classically designed creating traditional but sumptuous environments. The beautiful Lake Suite is a spacious, elegant setting for a small meeting or dinner. The room offers a private lounge area and access to a private terrace. Simply walk through the French doors for gorgeous views of the magnificently manicured lawns and parkland reminding you are in an English original.

A TREETOP PARADISE!

In the grounds of Chewton Glen, built high among the trees of a secluded valley, six wonderful tree houses offer an unforgettable setting for relaxation and escapism. Completely secluded suspended 35 feet above the ground, yet a short stroll away from the main house, guests can still benefit from all the luxury and services association with Chewton Glen. Enjoy sitting in a hot tub on the balcony sipping champagne, while watching the sunset through the trees. The perfect spot for adventure that’s way above the ordinary!
