Since March 2020 we have seen so many special events cancel or change due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Wednesday 11 November 2020 will be different to how we normally unite as a nation to make sure that no-one is forgotten and to remember and honour those who have sacrificed themselves to secure and protect our freedom. Due to the changes, scaled-back events and services are taking place, members of the public and military veterans around the UK will pay their respects at home.

BRITAIN’S GREATEST PALACE
Blenheim Palace has a long connection with British military history, dating back to its creation back in the 18th century. Birth place to Sir Winston Churchill, the venue has marked this year’s Remembrance Day with a 200 life-size Armistice Day soldier silhouette figures. The installation is the work of Witney-based artist Dan Barton and are made from recycled building materials (5-22 Nov 2020).
Lying at the edge of the picturesque town of Woodstock in Oxfordshire, 20 mins approx. from the city of Oxford, the Palace boasts six core luxurious event spaces.
From the spectacular Great Hall with its expansive 67 ft height rising up to a decorative ceiling painted by James Thornhill to the elegant Orangery (Pictured below) with its great arched windows, high ceilings, and a glass-panelled roof that gives a wonderful sense of space.
If hiring the OrangeComplex, your guests can take pre-dinner drinks alfresco (if weather permits) in the Italian Terrace, the Duke of Marlborough’s private exquisitely landscaped formal garden.
Combine the Great Hall with the Saloon, the Palace’s state dining room, for a pre-dinner reception and exceptional back-drop.

TANKS-A LOT
Step your event up a gear with an authentic, unforgettable and thrilling tank driving experience at the UK’s number 1 military themed venue. Located 4 miles north of Brackley, lying on the South Northamptonshire/North Oxfordshire border, is Tanks-A lot a unique driving venue for both public and corporate events 1-150 people.
With over 100 acres of open farmland and over 180 military vehicles, imagine the thrill of driving a 56 ton tank over a car, trying to beat the SAS woodland patrol challenge, firing a 18th century musket and mortar, or "swimming" an amphibious truck? These are just a few activities offered by the venue’s corporate action activity specialists.
Onsite facilities include the mess dining hall for catering, toilets, hard standing car park and WiFi. Catering includes full range of hot meals with veggie options, refreshments and tea & coffee refreshments.
